How do I withdraw my savings from the Cash savings hub?

Answer

To withdraw money from your transaction account, simply log into your AJ Bell account and find the ‘Withdrawals’ screen, then enter the amount you want to take out. Your cash will usually be paid to you on the same day, but it could take up to four working days.

Your initial deposit – plus any interest or profit you’ve earned – will be paid back into your transaction account when your fixed-term savings account matures (unless you’ve renewed your account with the same bank). You can then open another savings account or withdraw your money from the transaction account.

It’s essential to keep your bank account details updated, as you can only withdraw your money into your registered bank account. To change your registered bank account, log in and go to the ‘Update my details’ page.

Can I withdraw from a fixed term deposit before the end date?

You can’t normally withdraw from a fixed term savings account before the maturity date. The partner bank, however, might agree to an early termination in exceptional circumstances, such as the account holder’s death. If you need to access your money early, please contact us for help.

Can I withdraw savings from a notice account?

You can withdraw savings from a notice account by giving us notice that you want to close the account. You will then be asked to confirm you want to close it. To do this, log into your Cash savings hub and click ‘Close your notice account’ from the menu at the end of the entry for the notice account you wish to close.

At the end of the notice period, your savings, together with the interest or profit you’ve earned, will be paid into your transaction account. Then, you can withdraw it from the Cash savings hub as above.
